A stray cat came to visit our garden on a regular base for a couple of days now. I guess she was inquisitive about our cats living indoors. We started feeding her in the garden and made things as comfortable as possible , like setting up a food station and a cat kotatsu ( heated shelter) as the nights were still cold outside. When I opened the French door, she walked inside the house a couple of times to get food. She got slowly used to it. So yesterday we decided to set up our cat trap cage inside the house. We caught her pretty smoothly, brought her to the vet, had a health check and was sterilized. At the vet’s place they realized she was already neutered. A little surprised to hear after the operation that our vet clipped her ear without asking our permission, now we have to ask another vet to do some damage control by trying to stitch back the clipped cat ear. Soon we will put an ad in the newspaper in the hope she finds a forever home in Japan.

ARTEMIS.
Unable to see, she was roaming on the streets of Athens. When someone called our rescue team there, a volunteer rushed to her rescue. After a couple of months with care and medications Artemis showed the beauty it was hiding under the wounds. Isn't see look amazing? Artemis adopted by a young couple and now she enjoys life along her newcomer two legged brother.

This is Duke.
Duke, came from a place where he just waited death to free him from his misery life. It took months of medical care, love and prayers to turn things around for him. None of us believed Duke can survive from the situation he was found in, but along with us, when he felt loved, he fought for his life. The transformation was unbelievable. See the before and after of DUKE.

Valentine was reported to us as having been seen laying injured in a field for days. A JCN member went out right away that night, but Valentine was able to drag himself inside a locked area, which could not be accessed. The next morning he was picked up by animal control, despite our having contacted the business on the site and saying that we would retrieve him immediately. Valentine spent the next 9 days in hokenjo, in case someone claimed him, receiving only superficial treatment within the facility’s capability. He was released yesterday and a local vet determined that his bone injuries will require extensive surgery. Volunteer Yui, from Pawer kindly got him quickly to JCN in Tokyo, where he is currently being evaluated.
