Chiyoda Nyantonarukai cooperates with the government administration in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, in working to solve the problem of homeless cats. Their activities focus on supporting population control through trap neuter return projects, rehabilitation, and rehoming. In 2011, these efforts resulted in reducing the government euthanasia rate for Chiyoda ward to zero. Although this activity is limited to the area of Chiyoda Ward, it is considered a model program. The administration and volunteers continue to cooperate in spreading information about their successful efforts all over the country, in order to increase the quality of life for homeless cats everywhere.
